MacKenzie Scott gift helps launch new scholarship

The Igniting Paths to Success Scholarship will award full tuition, fees and books to 1,000 students with financial need beginning this fall, helping to address an urgent need for many in the community struggling to access and prioritize higher education due to the challenges and uncertainties of the pandemic. The scholarship is made possible by a transformational gift from philanthropist and author MacKenzie Scott.

While visiting Chicago is the best way to fully appreciate all that UIC offers, we invite you to explore the beauty of campus and beyond through pictures.

The west side of campus includes the health sciences colleges and medical center, recreation facilities and Student Center West. The south area of campus has student housing, retail shops, athletics fields and The Isadore & Sadie Dorin Forum, a conference and events center.

Paying for College

A UIC education brings a lifetime of benefits

The University of Illinois at Chicago is recognized nationally for its great value. UIC students earn more than many of their peers when they graduate, yet pay lower tuition than they would at most other universities.

There are many ways to pay for college . Federal aid, loans, grants, scholarships and student jobs can make college more affordable and accessible to students. Graduate students can reduce tuition and other costs with assistantships and fellowships , as well as grants outside UIC.
